About Doctor

Dr. Vivek Mangla

Hello, my name is Dr Vivek Mangla. I completed my graduation (MBBS) and post graduation(MS surgery) from a premier college in the centre of Delhi, Maulana Azad Medical College. God has been kind to me for helping me secure top rank in MBBS entrance PG entrance exam and had extensive hands on surgical training in MAMC. For super specialization that is MCh Gastrointestinal&Hepato-pancreatic-biliary surgery, I qualified for AIIMS, Delhi. It was indeed a proud movement to be selected as candidate for one of the only 3 seats in the entire country during those times. Days & nights never ended. We handled complex surgeries, complications from smaller centres, redo surgeries, sick patients amidst routine and prototype surgeries.

I feel it’s important even for experienced surgeons to constantly improve and expand one’s surgical skills. For me, this has involved early adoption of new laparoscopic & minimally invasive technique. This helps my patients to have smaller incisions, operations that are more precise and faster recovery. For this I travelled to the US and UK as part of fellowship programmes in advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery of gastrointestinal tract and liver transplant. The spirit of fighting recurring cancers of colon and rectum and giving good quality of life to the patient strengthened.

My team is committed to provide the latest and most effective surgical & medical treatment of diseases and cancer of various organs of digestive system like esophagus, stomach, small and large intestine, pancreas, liver, gallbladder, biliary system, rectum and anal canal.

Why should you trust me? Why I call myself the “best gastrosurgeon in Delhi”

I give complete clinical information and most suitable options of treatment of a particular disease to the patient and attendants. I take care of the smallest details to enhance the experience of the patient’s family in the hospital. All my staff is dedicated to pay careful attention to each patient’s particular needs. This personalized approach has helped to solidify a rewarding lasting relationship between me and patients. I am approachable directly to my patients and never hesitate in answering doubts and queries. My primary goals are fast recovery and good quality of life both in the short and long term after my prescribed treatment (surgical or observation/medical as the case may be). I am confident in saying that my ability to clinch diagnosis of out of the book complex cases is sharp. I have done a huge number of surgeries that have helped people to return to normal life which otherwise was disturbed for lack of guidance of treatment.I am skilled at treating primary, metastatic and recurrent tumors. Whenever possible, I use nerve sparing surgical technique that preserves sphincter, bladder and sexual function.
